Most frequent questions and answers

Yes, you can edit my work. You may do whatever you like with the parts I provide (unless otherwise stated) for private use. For commercial use, the avatar you are editing needs to be drastically changed(i.e. more than just a head swap or something similar). Parts/accessories cannot be used commercially on their own, regardless of edits.

You may not redistribute avatars or parts on their own. Commercially, you may use parts on a finished avatar. Avatars that are drastically changed (i.e. more than just a head swap or something similar) can be sold. Please first reach out to me to see if the changes you have made constitute as a new avatar.

In general, instructions specific to the avatar or part will be included in the README.txt

Importing to Unity

  1. (Avatars only) Import the VRCSDK. The version used will be included in the avatar’s README.txt. This will not be included in the file pack.
  2. Import any shaders used. The shaders that the part/avatar uses will be listed in the README.txt. Depending on the shader, it may be included in the file pack.
  3. Import DynamicBones. The version used will be listed in the README.txt. This will not be included in the file pack.
  4. Import the avatar or part.

Importing to Blender using CATS Blender Plugin

  1. Go to the CATS tab.
  2. Click “Import Model”
  3. Navigate to the FBX included in the file pack and import.

Attaching parts in Blender is more involved than in Unity. If you need help, you can DM scorchedE.C.H.O#1840, but it is advised that you have basic Blender knowledge if taking this route.
